What distinguishes website hosting from a server?

A server, or web server, is part of the infrastructure for online hosting. On these powerful computers, configuration files and website data are kept, i.e., webpages and all website content.

A root server is a server that has "root access" to a server's configuration data. Our web hosting solutions does not provide root access since we handle all setups on your behalf. If you select a dedicated server, a virtual private server, or a cloud server, you will have root access and may manually configure the server.
